# How do I manage expiry-based picking like FEFO/Batch/LOT control (especially FMCG, cosmetics, pharma)?

Once you deal with expiry-led categories, FIFO isn’t enough — you need FEFO (First Expiry, First Out). Without strict FEFO control, warehouses accidentally ship older stock, increasing returns and compliance issues.
 YES — How Unicommerce Helps
YES, we maintain batch, expiry, and lot numbers at SKU level.

YES, FEFO picking is enforced automatically.

YES, expired stock is auto-blocked from availability.
